A
Journey down the River Severn by Open Canoe
Come and join local Archaeologist Dr Nigel Baker on a journey of discovery, paddling Open Canoes downstream from Montford Bridge to Frankwell, A chance to explore forgotten fish weirs, Iron forges, river crossings, abandoned river loops and much much more including lots of wildlife! Participants should be aware that this is a journey that will take several hours. Please bring a packed lunch and a drink and dress for the weather.
A
free shuttle bus will take you from Frankwell car park to the start.
No previous paddling experience is required. The Above the Loop tour is part of Shrewsbury Summer Season and only available on Saturday 13th August. Pick–up 10 am finish 4.30pm. Tickets cost £32 per person. River levels may lead to change of date.
