A journey by canoe from Shrewsbury to Atcham

Join local Archaeologist Dr Nigel Baker on a fascinating journey. You will be paddling Open Canoes and Bellboats downstream from below Shrewsbury Weir to Atcham.

A chance to explore foregotten fish weirs, river crossings both old and new, and much much more including lots of wildlife!

Participants should be aware that this is a journey that will take three or more hours. Please bring a snack and a drink. No previous paddling experience is required. Participants should be dressed in suitable outdoor clothing and soft soled shoes.

The Beyond the Loop tour is part of Shrewsbury Summer Season and only available on Saturday 11th June.

Start 10 am finish approx 1.30 pm.
Tickets cost £25 per person.
River levels may lead to change of date.

A shuttle bus service will be provided
