Hire Charges 2010
Price includes: All
specialist equipment, river safety brief, advice on boat control, paddle strokes
& skills.
Open Canoe with 2 paddles and 2 buoyancy aids,
kit barrel
£30 per canoe per day
£22.50 per half day (4 hours after 1.00pm)
Kayak with
1 paddle and 1 buoyancy aid
(helmets and spraydecks available where applicable)
£22.50 per Kayak per day
£17.50 per half day (4 hours after 1.00pm)
For evening hire please enquire.
SECURITY
A security deposit of £75 is required per set of
equipment – this may be paid by debit/credit card and is refunded when the
equipment is returned in good, clean condition.
Any damages will be assessed and charged accordingly.
Losses will be charged at current replacement prices.
BOOKING
First check
availability with our office – then complete the Booking Form and return it with
a deposit of 20% of the total or £20 (whichever is the greatest) to secure your booking.
No deposit - no reservation!
Advance Peak season reservations
- May, June, July, August.
To help us give our best service to all our clients please let us know
immediately of any changes to your booking. If we reserve canoes/kayaks
for you they must be paid for in full. If you are organising a group
booking it is your responsibility to ensure that you receive payment from your
members. Balances must be paid before commencement of the
hire - this may be on the day or in advance. Deposits are
non-refundable.
In the event of a cancellation
by us due to adverse weather conditions, unsuitable water levels etc. an
alternavtive date or venue will be arranged.
In the unlikely event
that this is not possible we will refund your fee.
A charge is made for boat / equipment ‘drop offs’
and ‘pick ups’.
Price is for a load not per boat (one canoe is the same as ten)
We do not usually transport people: this is the responsibility of the
hirer.
Shrewsbury - no charge
Montford Bridge, Atcham - £10
Melverley area, Cressage - £18
Pool Quay, Iron Bridge - £25
Our boats are normally available for journeying between Pool Quay near Welshpool
and Dale End in Ironbridge. For areas beyond these points hire is by special
arrangement only.
Please Note: Whilst we encourage young people to paddle and to take
part in canoeing activities we must point out that we do not hire equipment to
persons under the age of 18 years. This does not exclude them as part of a
family group or an organised group where adults are taking part.
