Canoe Whitewater & Open Water Skills & River Leadership Course

Canoe Whitewater & Open Water Skills & River Leadership Course is aimed at paddlers who are proficient on easy moving water and confident in their canoe up to BCU 3 star standard.
Its all in the title one day on the lake one day on the river with some leadership skills thrown in as well.

The lake day will include refining personal paddling skills both solo and tandem. Crossing open water safely and the dealing with effect of wind and waves.

The river day is spent learning the art of descending rapids under control using different strokes and manoeuvres.

The course covers the different safety considerations in the changing environment. Journeying safely on lake and river, as part of a group but also taking on the role of the group leader.
Whether you want to end up leading others or paddling as part of a group this course will leave you a solid foundation in open canoe skills and journeying.

This is an ideal course to gain experience towards The British Canoe Union 4 star award or preparation for your own canoe expeditions.

The full course duration is over 2 days. Participants may take part for one day.
Venue: Rivers and lakes in Shropshire and Mid or North Wales area depending on river levels and weather conditions.

High quality coaching delivered by fully qualified staff.
Price is inclusive of VAT @ 20%.
Participants are responsible for their own canoe and equipment and in course transport and any access fees

Full two day course £130 per person
One day only £70 per person You can attend the either the lake day or river day.
