Kayak Whitewater Skills & River Leadership Course

The Kayak Whitewater Skills & River Leadership Course is aimed at paddlers who are proficient on grade 2 whitewater and confident in their kayak up to BCU 3 star standard. A solid roll is an advantage.
The course covers the relevant personal paddling skills to negotiate whitewater rivers, breaking in & out of fast moving water and ferry gliding. Surfing and playing waves, how to enter, exit and avoid stoppers. How to safely run rapids as part of a group also taking on the role of group leader putting into place appropriate strategies and risk management and good decision making.
Whether you want to end up leading others or paddling as part of a group this course will leave you a solid foundation in whitewater paddling. A pure whitewater Blast

This is an ideal course to gain experience towards The British Canoeing 4 star award.

The full course duration is over 2 days. Participants may take part for one day.
Venue: Rivers in Shropshire and Mid or North Wales area depending on river levels and weather conditions.

High quality coaching delivered by fully qualified staff.
Price is inclusive of VAT @ 20%.
Participants are responsible for their own kayak and equipment and in course transport and any access fees

Full two day course £150 per person
One day only £80 per person
