The British Canoeing Paddlesport Four Star Leader Award
This discipline specific test is designed to indicate that the candidate has the skill level to safely paddle and lead other competent paddlers on sections of moderate water. A four Star paddler will have the all round paddling ability, safety, rescue and basic leadership required to undertake trips on sheltered - moderate water with a group of paddlers who have the basic paddling skills required, but not necessarily the experience, to operate in a self-sufficient manner.

BC Four Star Leader Whitewater Kayak Training - This is a two day (prerequisite) training course to prepare the paddler for four star assessment.

Prerequisite - Be able to paddle to the standard of the 3 Star White Water Kayak.

4 Star Leader Whitewater Kayak Training Notes

The full course duration is over 2 days. (Both days spent on whitewater.)
Venue: Rivers in Shropshire and Mid or North Wales area depending on river levels and weather conditions.

Participants are responsible for their own in course transport and any access and certification fees
Full two day course £150 per person

BC Four Star Leader Open Canoe Training - This is a two day (prerequisite) training course to prepare the paddler for four star assessment.

Prerequisite - Be able to paddle to the standard of the 3 Star Open Canoe.

4 Star Leader Open Canoe Training Notes

The full course duration is over 2 days. (1 day is spent on open water 1 day spent on whitewater.)
The course will cover all the relevant personal paddling and leadership skills necessary for 4 star assessment
Venue: Severn / Vyrnwy catchments area
Rivers and lakes in Shropshire and Mid or North Wales area depending on river levels and weather conditions.

High quality coaching delivered by fully qualified staff.
Price is inclusive of VAT @ 20%.
Participants are responsible for their own in course transport and any access and certification fees
Full two day course £150 per person
